Every year, Democracy R&D takes stock of what our global network has created and learned. The annual report highlights new research, citizens’ assemblies, and projects from across the network, while identifying cross-cutting trends shaping the field. Together, these reports form a living record of how the field of deliberative democracy is evolving.
The first Annual Report highlighted four major trends: new methods and AI in deliberation, assemblies tackling climate change and disinformation, rapid growth across regions, and advances in institutionalisation and impact measurement. Alongside these trends, the report showcased case studies from around the world, a rich collection of member publications, and highlights from our annual meeting in Vancouver.
